Itinerary

Day 1 :
Arrival in Kathmandu (1,400 m / 4,593 ft)
Description: Arrive in Kathmandu, where you will be greeted at the airport and transferred to your hotel. Spend the day exploring the vibrant city or resting after your journey. In the evening, there will be a pre-trek briefing to go over the itinerary and preparations. Highlights: Explore Kathmandu’s UNESCO World Heritage Sites, such as Pashupatinath Temple, Boudhanath Stupa, or Swayambhunath (Monkey Temple).
Day 2 :
Fly to Lukla (2,860 m / 9,383 ft) and Trek to Phakding (2,610 m / 8,562 ft)
Trek Duration: 3-4 hours Description: Start the day with an early morning flight from Kathmandu to Lukla, a scenic 30-minute flight that offers breathtaking views of the Himalayas. After landing, begin trekking with a gentle descent to Phakding, passing through pine forests, traditional Sherpa villages, and along the Dudh Koshi River. Highlights: Scenic flight over the Himalayas, crossing suspension bridges, and the first taste of trekking in the Khumbu region.
Day 3 :
Trek from Phakding to Namche Bazaar (3,440 m / 11,286 ft)
Trek Duration: 6-7 hours Description: The trek continues with a series of ups and downs along the banks of the Dudh Koshi River. Cross several suspension bridges, including the iconic Hillary Suspension Bridge. The trail ascends steeply through pine and rhododendron forests to Namche Bazaar, the bustling Sherpa town known as the gateway to Everest. Highlights: First views of Mount Everest and Lhotse, vibrant markets in Namche, acclimatization point for trekkers.
Day 4 :
Acclimatization Day in Namche Bazaar with Hike to Everest View Hotel (3,880 m / 12,730 ft)
Description: Spend the day acclimatizing in Namche Bazaar. Take an acclimatization hike to the Everest View Hotel, the highest luxury hotel in the world, offering panoramic views of Everest, Ama Dablam, Thamserku, and other peaks. Visit the Sherpa Culture Museum and explore Namche’s shops, cafes, and bakeries. Highlights: Stunning panoramic views of Everest and surrounding peaks, insight into Sherpa culture, and opportunities to interact with locals.
Day 5 :
Trek from Namche Bazaar to Tengboche (3,867 m / 12,687 ft)
Trek Duration: 5-6 hours Description: The trail leads out of Namche with spectacular views of Everest, Lhotse, and Ama Dablam. A steady descent takes you through forests and small villages before a final steep ascent brings you to Tengboche, home to the famous Tengboche Monastery. This monastery is the largest in the Khumbu region and offers spiritual insight as well as stunning mountain views. Highlights: Visit Tengboche Monastery, panoramic views of Everest and Ama Dablam, and the serene environment of the monastery.
Day 6 :
Trek from Tengboche to Khumjung Village (3,780 m / 12,402 ft)
Trek Duration: 4-5 hours Description: Descend through lush forests and continue towards Khumjung, one of the largest Sherpa villages in the region. Visit the Khumjung Monastery, which is said to house a yeti scalp, and explore the Khumjung Hillary School, established by Sir Edmund Hillary. Highlights: Explore traditional Sherpa culture, visit local monasteries, and learn about the community initiatives supported by the Hillary Trust.
Day 7 :
Trek from Khumjung to Monjo (2,835 m / 9,301 ft)
Trek Duration: 4-5 hours Description: Begin the descent towards Monjo, passing through Namche Bazaar. Enjoy the downhill trek through lush forests, with opportunities to spot wildlife such as Himalayan tahr, pheasants, and musk deer. The trail descends further past the Dudh Koshi River to Monjo, a quiet village near the entrance of Sagarmatha National Park. Highlights: Descending through beautiful forests, re-visiting Namche Bazaar, and the peaceful atmosphere of Monjo.
Day 8 :
Trek from Monjo to Lukla (2,860 m / 9,383 ft)
Trek Duration: 5-6 hours Description: Retrace your steps along the Dudh Koshi River, crossing suspension bridges and passing through small villages. The final ascent to Lukla marks the end of your trek, where you can relax, celebrate the journey, and reflect on your experiences. Highlights: Scenic trails, last views of the mountain landscapes, and a sense of accomplishment upon reaching Lukla.
Day 9 :
Fly from Lukla to Kathmandu
Description: Take an early morning flight back to Kathmandu. Upon arrival, you will be transferred to your hotel. The rest of the day is free for rest, shopping, or exploring more of Kathmandu’s cultural sites. Highlights: Scenic flight back to Kathmandu, relaxation in the city, and opportunities for shopping and sightseeing.
Day 10 :
Departure from Kathmandu
Description: Depending on your flight schedule, you may have some time to explore Kathmandu or do last-minute shopping before your departure. A transfer to the airport will be arranged. Highlights: Final moments to enjoy Kathmandu’s vibrant atmosphere and reflect on the trek.
