Itinerary

Day 1 :
Arrival in Kathmandu (1,400 m / 4,593 ft)
Description: Arrive in Kathmandu, where you will be welcomed by your guide and transferred to your hotel. The rest of the day is free to explore the vibrant city, visit local markets, or relax at your hotel. In the evening, attend a briefing about the climb and make final preparations. Highlights: Explore Kathmandu’s UNESCO World Heritage Sites, including Swayambhunath (Monkey Temple), Pashupatinath, and Boudhanath.
Day 2 :
Fly to Lukla (2,860 m / 9,383 ft) and Trek to Paiya (2,730 m / 8,957 ft)
Trek Duration: 4-5 hours Description: Early morning flight to Lukla, one of the most scenic and thrilling flights in the world. After landing, start your trek with a descent towards Paiya, passing through Sherpa villages and lush forests. Highlights: Scenic flight to Lukla, introduction to the beautiful landscapes of the Khumbu region.
Day 3 :
Trek from Paiya to Panggom (2,846 m / 9,337 ft)
Trek Duration: 5-6 hours Description: Begin with a steep climb and cross the Kari La Pass. The trail then continues through lush forests of rhododendron and bamboo. Arrive at Panggom, a beautiful Sherpa village known for its hospitality. Highlights: Scenic forests, traditional Sherpa village experience, and panoramic mountain views.
Day 4 :
Trek from Panggom to Ningsow (2,863 m / 9,393 ft)
Trek Duration: 4-5 hours Description: Trek through narrow, winding trails with breathtaking views of surrounding valleys and mountains. Pass through farmland and dense forests before reaching Ningsow, a small, picturesque village. Highlights: Off-the-beaten-path trekking experience, serene landscapes, and peaceful village life.
Day 5 :
Trek from Ningsow to Chhatra Khola (2,800 m / 9,186 ft)
Trek Duration: 5-6 hours Description: The trail undulates with several ascents and descents. Cross the Inkhu Khola river and walk through forests of pine and oak, home to diverse wildlife including the elusive red panda. Highlights: Crossing suspension bridges, diverse flora and fauna, tranquil forest trails.
Day 6 :
Trek from Chhatra Khola to Kothe (3,600 m / 11,811 ft)
Trek Duration: 6-7 hours Description: The trail gradually climbs along the Inkhu Khola river, with views of Mera Peak becoming more prominent. The trek passes through dense forests before reaching Kothe, a small settlement in the Hinku Valley. Highlights: Views of Mera Peak, remote and less crowded trails, riverside trekking.
Day 7 :
Trek from Kothe to Thaknak (4,358 m / 14,297 ft)
Trek Duration: 4-5 hours Description: Trek along the Hinku Valley, gradually ascending to Thaknak. The route offers beautiful views of surrounding peaks and glacial landscapes. Arrive at Thaknak, a small village with stunning mountain backdrops. Highlights: Glacial views, stunning landscapes, arrival at high-altitude Thaknak.
Day 8 :
Trek from Thaknak to Khare (5,045 m / 16,551 ft)
Trek Duration: 4-5 hours Description: A steady climb through glacial moraines leads you to Khare, the last settlement before Mera Peak Base Camp. Enjoy an afternoon of acclimatization and preparation for the climb ahead. Highlights: Expansive glacial views, acclimatization, preparation for summit push.
Day 9 :
Acclimatization and Training in Khare
Description: Spend the day acclimatizing and practicing climbing techniques with your guide, including the use of crampons, ice axes, and ropes. This training helps build confidence for the summit push. Highlights: Glacier training, acclimatization to high altitude, spectacular views of Mera Peak.
Day 10 :
Trek from Khare to Mera Peak Base Camp (5,350 m / 17,552 ft)
Trek Duration: 3-4 hours Description: Trek to Mera Peak Base Camp, crossing the Mera Glacier along the way. Set up camp and spend the afternoon preparing for the climb to High Camp. Highlights: Trekking on glaciers, setting up at Base Camp, breathtaking mountain views.
Day 11 :
Trek from Base Camp to High Camp (5,780 m / 18,963 ft)
Trek Duration: 4-5 hours Description: A challenging day as you ascend to High Camp, situated on a rocky outcrop offering spectacular views of Everest, Lhotse, and Makalu. Prepare for an early start for the summit push the next day. Highlights: Stunning views from High Camp, final preparations for the summit climb.
Day 12 :
Summit Mera Peak (6,476 m / 21,247 ft) and Return to Khare
Climb Duration: 8-9 hours Description: Start early (around 2-3 am) for the summit push. Climb through snow and ice slopes using crampons and ice axes. Upon reaching the summit, enjoy breathtaking panoramic views of five of the world's highest peaks. Descend carefully to Khare after the summit. Highlights: Reaching the summit of Mera Peak, panoramic views of Everest, Lhotse, Makalu, Cho Oyu, and Kangchenjunga.
Day 13 :
Trek from Khare to Kothe
Trek Duration: 5-6 hours Description: Descend back through the Hinku Valley to Kothe, retracing your steps through the glacial landscapes. Celebrate the successful climb with your team. Highlights: Descent through the Hinku Valley, celebration with the team.
Day 14 :
Trek from Kothe to Thuli Kharka (4,300 m / 14,108 ft)
Trek Duration: 5-6 hours Description: The trail ascends and descends through lush forests and ridges, providing beautiful views of the mountains. Thuli Kharka is a small settlement with panoramic views of Mera Peak. Highlights: Scenic forest trails, views of Mera Peak and surrounding mountains
Day 15 :
Trek from Thuli Kharka to Lukla via Zatrwa La Pass (4,600 m / 15,091 ft)
Trek Duration: 6-7 hours Description: Cross the Zatrwa La Pass, the last challenging section of the trek, before descending towards Lukla. Enjoy the final views of the mountains as you make your way back to the starting point of your adventure. Highlights: Crossing Zatrwa La Pass, final descent to Lukla, celebrating the trek's completion.
Day 16 :
Fly from Lukla to Kathmandu
Description: Take an early morning flight back to Kathmandu. Upon arrival, you will be transferred to your hotel. Spend the day relaxing, shopping, or exploring more of the city’s cultural sites before departure. Highlights: Scenic flight, relaxation in Kathmandu.
